Creci would like to take the opportunity to welcome a new investor and member of
the advisory team. Pravin Rodrigues is the President of Mentis Management
Solutions, Inc., a management-consulting firm based in Canada that helps
organizations implement large-scale, mission-critical change, including change for
sustainability. With its growing focus on the clean technology and social enterprise
spaces, the firm also offers advisory and implementation assistance throughout the
venture cycle in the areas of financing, product road-mapping, partnerships and
market development.
As an advisor, Pravin helps clients identify and understand the links between their
profit imperatives and the true costs of achieving them, as impetus for innovation in
business practice. For the last four years, he has been an assessor in the annual
global sustainable business awards competition, which is a collaboration of Unilever
and Cambridge University.
He is a graduate of the Masters in Sustainability Leadership from the University of
Cambridge, in which his dissertation focused on the location decision-making of
enterprises within the global cleantech sector. As part of a global team, he also
researched the effectiveness of valuation initiatives in engaging the private sector to
preserve natural capital. He also holds an MBA from Queen’s University, a Bachelor
of Arts, Economics from the University of Western Ontario and a graduate certificate
in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University.
Pravin recently launched the Espera Ventures Green Economy Fund to invest in
start-ups with environmental and social impact at the heart of their business models
and has completed two early-stage investments, including in Creci.
